Surf

Siargao's reef breaks for the experienced, soft beginner waves nearby, and a surf town worth staying in.

Siargao is the reason most surfers come. Cloud 9 is a heavy, shallow reef break best left to experienced surfers, but the island has plenty of friendlier waves within a short boat ride or scooter trip, and local coaches who are very good with first-timers.

The main swell season runs roughly from August to November, when the Pacific sends its best. Outside that, conditions are smaller and often ideal for learning. We pair surf days with island hopping and lagoon trips so non-surfers in the group have just as good a week, and we can extend to quieter breaks on other coasts for those who want to chase waves.
