15 DAYS

Siargao • Bohol • El Nido

Surf & Islands

Six days on Siargao with proper surf coaching, then Bohol to rest your shoulders and El Nido's lagoons to finish. Built for beginners and improvers, with something for non-surfers too.

Use this journey as inspiration. Change the islands, hotels, pace, activities or number of nights.

Siargao is where most people in the Philippines learn to surf, and it is a good place to do it: warm water, reef breaks for every level, and coaches who have grown up on them. We give it six days, which is the difference between standing up once and actually starting to surf. Then we move you to Bohol, where the rivers and hills are a rest for sore shoulders, and finish in El Nido, swapping boards for boats and lagoons.

Be aware of the season. Siargao's big swells arrive from around September to November, which is exciting to watch and too much for beginners on the famous breaks; from March to July the waves are smaller and friendlier. There are two travel days connecting through Cebu and Manila. As always, this is a starting point: experienced surfers might want more Siargao and less of everything else, and we can add a surf camp or a boat trip to outer breaks.

Questions travellers ask

1. I have never surfed. Is this for me?

Yes. Most of our surf travellers are beginners. Five coached mornings on the right breaks is usually enough to go from first wave to catching your own.

2. Can I change the islands?

Yes. Experienced surfers often skip Bohol for more Siargao; non-surfing partners sometimes prefer Siquijor. This is a starting point.

3. When is the best month?

For learning, March to July: smaller waves and decent weather. Palawan is also at its best from March to May. From June, El Nido gets wetter.

4. How do the flights work?

Siargao connects through Manila or Cebu, and Palawan through Manila. Two of your days are travel days. We book and manage them all.
