12 DAYS

Cebu • Moalboal • Siquijor • Bohol

Visayas on a Budget

Three islands for a sensible price: Moalboal's turtles and sardines, Siquijor's waterfalls and Bohol's hills. Simple, well-chosen hotels and transfers by road and sea.

Use this journey as inspiration. Change the islands, hotels, pace, activities or number of nights.

A good Philippines trip does not need to be expensive. This route saves money in the right places: no domestic flights, simple but well-located hotels with good reviews, and shared tours where they work well. It does not save on safety, on reliable boats or on our support.

You fly into Cebu and head straight to Moalboal for turtles and the sardine run. Next comes Siquijor, an island of waterfalls, empty roads and folk legends, three days for the price of very little. Bohol closes the trip with its hills and beaches, and the fast ferry takes you back to Cebu for your flight home.

Questions travellers ask

1. What kind of hotels are they?

Clean, safe, well-reviewed and well-located: good small hotels and guesthouses with private bathrooms and air-conditioning. Upgrade to Boutique for more character and comfort.

2. Is it still a private trip?

Transfers are shared where it makes sense to keep the price down, but your plan, bookings and support are all your own.
