This is Palawan without the crowds. In El Nido you have your own boat and crew for three days, leaving early to reach the lagoons before anyone else and stopping for lunch on a beach chosen for being empty. Then you move to a private-island resort in northern Palawan, where there are only a handful of villas, a house reef in front of your door and nothing on the schedule unless you want it.
