Island Escapes

Limestone lagoons, sandbars at low tide and the boat days that make the Philippines worth the flight.

The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands, and the hard part is not finding a good one. It is choosing three that connect well, in the right order, in the right season. We plan island escapes around flight and ferry schedules that actually run, so you spend your days on the water rather than in departure lounges.

Most first trips pair Palawan (El Nido or Coron) with one Visayan island: Bohol for rivers and reefs, Siargao for a slower surf-town rhythm, or Boracay if you want a long beach with good restaurants and do not mind company. We add private boats where the shared tours get crowded, and we tell you which lagoons are best at 7am.
